We are pleased to have John Leatherman and Julie Morgan as our Directors of Music Ministries. John is an accomplished organist, pianist and director with more than twenty years of experience in several denominations and traditions, including the United Church of Christ. Julie is a gifted soloist, choral director, and musical artist with extensive performance experience in New York city and greater metrolplex.

Broadening Our Horizons...
In addition to the "traditional," classical music provided by our choir and organist, we seek to experience and celebrate in worship the rich diversity of church music from around the world. This includes singing hymns from many traditions and incorporating musical offerings from many cultures.
In the United Church of Christ, local congregations are empowered to shape their worship services to speak to the people they serve with their local community. Montclair, New Jersey is a town blessed with many types of diversity including racial, cultural, socio-economic, and educational diversity. We also realize that people have different levels of experience with organized worship and bring different expectations to a worship service. Our hope is to provide a variety of musical traditions, expressions and values that have integrity, purpose and meaning to ALL people who worship with us.
Local artists who have provided musical offerings in worship include Grammy Award winner Richard Reiter, the vocal trio Catalyst, flute solist Laura George, pianist Gordon Doo, steel drum artist Denzel Botus, and jazz protege Bruce Kevin Williams, Spirit Dance, and Dance Innovations.
